Congrats to you both for making it this far. Here are some questions for the two of you.
James: What did you do during this game? Also out of all the house guests, who (if any) would fit the description of Mastermind of the House, and why?
Rachel: What moves have you made during this game? Also what were the social and/or strategic aspects of your gameplay?
Questions for both of you to answer:
1. Compare your determination to win this season to your determination to win All Stars (assuming you make it). Which one is greater?
2. What was the best and worst moves you made this season?
Good luck to both of you.

I played this game with my heart. I think my emotions could definitely be seen on my sleeve. I let people know when I was going after them. I made deals, and never broke any of them. My allies knew who they were, and my enemies certainly knew who they were. I weighed every option and move I could make since Day One, and most importantly, I tried my hardest and never gave up. It seemed all odds were against Me (and Jase) when Adam/Dick got ejected, but I fought through all the obstacles and enemies in my path and weaseled my way into the F2. I went all out, winning practically half of the challenges for myself or a fellow sausage fest'er, and I made a lot of friends along the way. And most importantly, I had a lot of fun doing so.
As for your second question: who fits the description of the "Mastermind" of the season. In all honesty, I don't think there was a Mastermind during this season of Derailed. A Mastermind is someone who controls both sides of a game. The sides of this season would have to be Alliwhore's Army vs. The Sausage Fest. The people that don't necessarily fit either of these categories are Parker, Enzo, and Kristen. So if there was a Mastermind it would have to be one of the three of them, since everyone else chose a "side," be it the Sausages or the Aliwhores. And since Parker lasted longer than Kristen and Enzo, I guess I'd have to pick him as the default Mastermind.
I played this game as hard as I possibly could and I plan on doing the exact same in All Stars. I do this in basically any game I play in. I hate surrendering, and thus, I will fight to the very death. No holds barred. So to answer your question, I will play each this game and All Stars with an equal amount of determination.
My best move of the game was definitely inviting Adam, Dick, Jase, and Matt into a chatroom during Week One and creating the "Sausage Fest Alliance" with them. Even though this alliance was quickly discovered by the entire house, we still managed to win 8 of the 12 HOH's throughout this game, and 5 of the 10 Veto's. All five of us had a very great group dynamic and we had a lot of fun each night laughing away in the chatrooms we made.
My other best move which also goes hand in hand with helping to create the Sausage Fest Alliance was when I became one of the bedroom captains and was given the power to choose new bedrooms. I wanted to make sure Adam was on the same team as Allison so she couldn't attack him, and I also wanted to make sure someone else (Matt) was on the other team as well. Me, Jase, and Dick stayed in our original bedroom. By splitting us up I ensured that there would always be people to nominate other than ourselves.
My worst move of the game was telling Dick to NOT nominate Allison during Week One. He wanted to nominate her but I told him that Allison would be a useful ally... Oh how wrong I was! Hahahaha! Instead he nominated Hayden and Kevin, and eventually Enzo as a replacement nominee. This move later bit us in the ass because Enzo distrusted us due to Dick's nomination and ultimately turned on us and tried to get us out. Us trusting Allison was a horrible move in retrospect, and I wish I just let Dick nominate her in the first place.

Thanks Matt, for the congratulations! I know that you and I had a lot on our plate, especially being past winners and all. But you deserve a pat on your back for making it as far as you did too. I know that I was the one that sent you out of this game, so if you harbor any grudges towards me, I’m sorry. I knew that I was going to have to take you out if I wanted to get anywhere in this game. Hell, you and I were almost playing the same game. We both hadn’t won any competitions during the entire game, but the week that I asked you all to evict me, you instead turned on Alison and voted her out, and that costed you this game. I’m sure none of you had expected me to win the Head of Household that week, but I did and I’m sure you were aware that you were going up. I’m sorry that if whatever I said was a jab, but I was a bit worked up that you could turn on someone so quickly just because of something like “hesitation”. Hell, I wanted to align with you in All Stars if you played.
But moving on from that, let’s get to your questions! One of the first moves I made in this game, was getting some allies. I wanted to make sure that I had a comfortable position in this game. My allies consisted of Brendon, Enzo, and Parker. I knew that I could count on these three at the get go, and I was glad that they had also been playing. No group alliance was made, but I had an individual friendship and/or alliance with each of them. This would surely prove beneficial in the future rounds of the game. About two-three rounds into the game, it was becoming more and more obvious that the guys were together. I don’t know if I was first to speculate, but Annie and myself talked about it 24/7, about how the guys were sticking together. As much as each denied it, the “Sausage Fest” bullshit was obvious as hell, and had I ever won Head of Household, my nominations would have been a combination of each of them. And that’s the truth. The round where both myself and Brendon were nominated was one of the worst rounds. Brendon was a close ally and I didn’t know how we were going to get out of it. Luckily, I had some allies in the Veto, and I managed to construct a plan with Parker to allow Parker to win the Veto and take me down, so that Parker couldn’t be the replacement and instead someone like Hayden would go up on the block, who had a penalty vote. The plan was a success and Hayden was evicted. We played around Adam’s HOH reign flawlessly.
I think aspects of my gameplay mainly consisted of social interaction. I keep getting reminded by James that I was “never on AIM”, but that’s incorrect. I was always on AIM, on my real account, talking to everyone that I was aligned with 24/7. Why on earth would I need to talk to the Adam’s, Dick’s, and Hayden’s of the game, for example, when I wasn’t aligned with them and they were a part of an obvious alliance? I had no need or desire to communicate with any of them. Nothing I would have said or done would have changed their outlook on the game, and that seemed to pretty much be: get the girls + Brendon, Enzo, and Parker out. I think my biggest social move in this game, in an unintentional manner was asking everyone to vote me out, saying that I was just playing for fun. I honestly expected to be evicted every single time I asked for it to happen, and each time I wasn’t, and it was surprising to me. Rookie mistakes left and right. Another big social hit was when Parker and I discussed him using the Veto on me. It saved me that week, Brendon that week, and Parker that week. I think one of the best moves I made in the game though was when I aligned with Alison. She was such strong opposition against the “Sausage Fest” and she was a challenge beast. Aligning with her allowed the “Sausage Fest” to pretty much start to crumble week after week.
My determination to win All Stars will be a lot greater than my determination to win this game, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to roll over and die in this game. It goes back to me saying that I joined this game to have fun and see how far I could go. When people like Jamez just told me to quit then, I obviously said no. I’m not a quitter. Just because I wasn’t necessarily playing to become a second-time winner doesn’t mean I’m not going to try. The few times where my trying seemed to fade out was near the end, but that wasn’t due to giving up, it was due to me being busy. For example, my performance in the competition for Bunny Hop. I did, what? 4 posts? I know that was horrendous but as much as I wanted to try in that competition, I couldn’t I was busy. I lucked out that week when Brendon didn’t compete and got the automatic eviction. I know that when All Stars starts I’ll be playing for safety each and every week because All Stars will consist of the best of the best, and in that game, I know I’m going to have to fight my heart out as much as possible to win and stay in the game.
My best moves in the game have already been previously mentioned, but in addition to that was winning the Head of Household the week I needed it most. In my experience, I feel that winning a competition should only be done when you know you’re in danger and need it to survive. Winning competitions left and right is reckless and dangerous and that’s never been how I’ve played any ORG I’ve participated in. So, the moment that I won Head of Household was really liberating because I knew that I needed it to do last a bit longer in this game. One of the worst moves I made in this game was not winning atleast one competition earlier in the game. I feel that had I done that, and ousted one of the “Sausage Fest” members a lot earlier, the game would have changed a great deal. I should have been more focused on really pushing to win an early HOH so that I could have sent one of them out the door, but I was more concerned on just staying safe those first three-four weeks.
I hope this answers your questions, Matt. Thanks for them and I’ll respect however you vote at the finale.

I think it's funny that even though everyone knew about our obvious "sausage fest alliance" (it WAS pretty obvious), not a single person has gotten the members of the alliance right or the people that we wanted out
